Accelerating application of Climate Smart and Resilient agricultural technologies within Asia-Monsoon Countries
In line with the Japanese Strategy for Sustainable Food Systems, MIDORI, Japan is accelerating application of climate smart and resilient agricultural technologies in the Asia-Monsoon region, in collaboration with countries in this region. JIRCAS, a national agricultural research institute in Japan, is now implementing the “Green Asia” project to this end. In this session, Japanese and Nepalese researchers involved in the project will present about the full scope of the project activities and the joint efforts to promote the application of BNI-enabled wheat to significantly reduce the use of fertilizers, which will lead to the reduction of the greenhouse gas emissions.
