COP28 will mark the announcement of a Secretariat for the Charter, financed by several state supporters of the Charter and hosted by the International Council of Voluntary Agencies. The Secretariat will service the requests of signatories, providing a dedicated capacity to provide support, respond to requests, and connect signatories to necessary expertise. This event will serve as the launch of the secretariat. It will bring together supporters and humanitarian organizations from across the community of Charter signatories to exchange on lessons learned since the Charter’s launch, progress so far, and next steps in translating its ambitions into necessary action.
