Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the 2023 Reaching the Last Mile Forum will serve as a platform for delivering concrete commitments in support of effective climate-health action. Following the morning plenary, the high-level session will host a series of announcements and pledges, focused on last-mile efforts to end neglected tropical diseases. Countries, donors, and partners will unite to reaffirm their commitment to NTD elimination, and protecting gains against climate change, underscoring the UAE's leadership on this issue and reflecting COP28's call to unite, act, and forge a healthier, more resilient future together. Additionally, the forum will announce winners of the prestigious Recognizing Excellence Around Champions of Health (REACH) Awards, honoring and celebrating health workers on the frontlines of disease elimination and climate-health challenges.
