Shaping international trade and global value chains for MSME climate action

4 Dec

17:00-18:00 GST

International trade is a vital tool to enable businesses to provide and access more sustainable goods and services. As international trade is shaped by global value chains, global supply chain leaders have a critical role in promoting climate action. The session will provide a constructive exchange on drivers and barriers for grassroot climate action and policies to incentivize MSMEs to invest in a net-zero future. It will provide opportunities for international organizations, governments and the private sector to discuss how international cooperation can support harmonization of market access policies to enable MSMEs engage with global supply chains for climate action.
