Conference I COP28, in collaboration with Bloomberg Philanthropies, will recognize the critical role of local leaders in the COP process and in delivering the goals of the Paris Agreement. The COP28 Local Climate Action Summit will convene a historic number of mayors, governors, NGOs, businesses, and other local leaders alongside Parties to respond to the Global Stocktake. The event will showcase commitments from national and subnational actors to partner in the planning, financing, and implementation of climate strategies.
