Conference I This event will convene Heads of State and Government alongside leaders of international institutions for a closed-door discussion, building on the Energy Transition Dialogues co-hosted by the Presidency and the IEA this year. Participants will be requested to make brief interventions to reiterate their high ambition for a 1.5°C-aligned energy transition and share practical steps that they are taking to accelerate the transition. The conversation will support the conclusion of the Global Stocktake at COP28 and focus on all elements of the energy system, to foster an honest dialogue about what it will take to deliver a responsible and just transition that empowers climate positive development everywhere, in particular across the Global South.
