UACA presents ‘Road2.0’ supported by talabat and Unilever, is a domestic initiative encouraging non-state actors to accelerate their transition towards zero emission vehicles and leading the effort to showcase how commercial vehicles will support the UAE transition to net zero by 2050 with concrete actions in the short term coupled with medium and long term targets for transportation across their business and supply chain. Road2.0 signatories are made up of domestic non-state actors that are pledging to lead their organizations efforts in commercial road transport decarbonization and in taking an ‘action-first’ approach to transport decarbonization. The event will announce the initiative and outline the need for the acceleration of commercial road transport decarbonization, the objectives of the initiative in the short, medium and long term, and highlight the leaders committing to act on the pledge requirements. The event will include a short panel discussion with Road 2.0 supporters outlining their existing efforts in commercial transport decarbonization and conclude with a signing ceremony with signatories aligning to the pledge requirements.
