Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) for Resilient Food Systems
The event will highlight the importance of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in the context of food systems and community development, and aim to strengthen multi-stakeholder dialogue on agroecology, foregrounding its links with nature and climate. NbS, such as agroecology approaches, offer potential for multiple environmental and socio-economic co-benefits including generation of livelihoods for local communities and smallholder farmers/landowners, besides enhanced quantity, and quality of yields. Resilient food systems using NbS, also promote circular farming practices, work with wildlife, and put farmers and communities in the lead, in the aim to increase resilience in the face of climate-related impacts.
