Renewable Energy for Relief, Recovery, and Peace

Organizer Name: UNDOS, UNDPO, IRENA, Norway, UAE, UNHCR, Chatham House, SE4All, SOLCO, IKEA Foundation

Countries experiencing humanitarian and security challenges have some of the lowest rates of energy access in the world, as well as the highest energy costs, resulting in both highly marginal finance and major barriers to development. This ministerial event will present models and finance to promote clean energy deployment and expand renewable energy infrastructure to communities, while also improving security, climate resilience, local business, and health.
