Adaptation & Resilience to Address the Health Impacts of Climate Change

Organizer Name:COP28 Presidency, WHO and Wellcome Trust

This session will take a cross-sectoral perspective, given the impacts of food systems, water and sanitation and other sectors on health, and the fact that a healthy population can, by itself, be a factor for resilience. New health pillar will also incorporate findings that climate-sensitive health risks are disproportionately felt by the most vulnerable and disadvantaged, including women, children, ethnic minorities, lower-income communities, migrants or displaced persons, older populations, and those with underlying health conditions.
