Shaping international trade and global value chains for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) climate action

Organizers Name: International Chamber of Commerce

International trade is a vital tool to enable businesses to provide and access more sustainable goods and services. As international trade is increasingly shaped by global value chains, global supply chain leaders have a critical role to play in promoting climate action within their extended supply chain and small business partners.

The session will provide for a constructive exchange on drivers and barriers for grassroot climate action and effective policies to incentivize MSMEs to invest in a net-zero future. It will provide an opportunity for relevant international organizations, governments and the private sector to discuss how international cooperation can advance and support harmonization of market access policies to enable MSMEs meaningful engagement with global supply chains and take more ambitious climate action.
