Harnessing Data To Drive Sustainable Finance

Organizers: COP28 Presidency: Finance team

Data is the backbone of sustainable finance, providing the information needed for investment decisions, risk management, performance evaluation and impact assessment in a way that aligns financial goals with environmental and social responsibility. This roundtable will convene key stakeholders to discuss challenges, identify shared areas of concern, and showcase emerging solutions within the nexus of data and sustainable finance. The focus will be on the green capital market, the primary engine for financing sustainable development. The aim is to determine the key priorities that must be addressed to facilitate the transition to green finance, and agree on a set of action-oriented solutions to overcome these identified challenges.
