Accelerating Action: Private Sector Accountability & Regulation for Net-Zero Transition

Organizers: COP28 Presidency: Accountability Team

The COP28 presidency is announcing the upcoming Net-Zero Accountability and Regulation Event at COP28. We shall navigate the crucial discussions around the accountability and regulatory frameworks necessary for a sustainable and equitable transition.

As our global commitment to combat climate change intensifies, it is imperative that the private sector takes center stage in driving the transition to a decarbonized economy. Robust private sector transition planning will also contribute to the development and delivery of NDCs and national decarbonization pathways, and act as a tool for attracting capital flows to companies and countries.
