This CEO-level Forum will mobilize global business leaders and philanthropists to progress action in line with the COP28 Presidential Action Agenda to advance cross-sectoral progress around net zero and nature positive goals.

The Forum is the first of a kind multi-stakeholder engagement for climate and nature driven by the UAE’s ambition to host a truly inclusive climate conference that marshals full and broad support with engagement from all regions of the world. The Forum will converge over 500 business and philanthropy leaders, along with policy makers, to ensure co-creation, collaboration, and acceleration to unlock solutions and drive bolder results.

PRIVATE SECTOR TO PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE

IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE

The Business & Philanthropy Climate Forum (BPCF) represents a critical turning point in our collective efforts to address the urgent challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss.

For the first time in the fight against climate change, the Private Sector is being heard and its role is being acknowledged. With its dynamism, resources, and innovation, the Private Sector plays a pivotal role in driving meaningful climate and nature action. By bringing together CEOs and principals from around the globe, we aim to create a space for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and action planning that is unparalleled in scope and impact. By concurrently hosting the BPCF alongside the World Climate Action Summit, COP28 demonstrates its resolve to bridge the gap between policy and action, fostering cross-sectoral partnerships to expedite climate initiatives.

The imperative to act on climate and nature issues is growing clearer every day, and the BPCF acknowledges that achieving these objectives requires a fundamental transformation of our economic systems. It is not enough to address environmental challenges in isolation; we must also ensure that sustainable growth is accessible to all, especially in regions of the Global South. This commitment to inclusivity and equity is at the heart of the BPCF’s mission.

In essence, the BPCF is a platform to convene global CEOs and philanthropists to come together, transcend boundaries, and work towards a future where businesses and philanthropy lead the charge in achieving net-zero emissions, preserving biodiversity, and creating a more sustainable, prosperous world for all. This endeavour is not just a conference but a commitment to the betterment of our planet and the well-being of future generations.

GLOBAL ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION

WE ARE PRIORITIZING ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES AND PLANS

The imperative to achieve agreed-upon climate and nature objectives is growing more evident by the day. To address this challenge, the BPC Forum is committed to prioritizing actionable strategies and plans led by businesses and philanthropy designed to catalyze and foster higher rates of environmentally conscious economic expansion, particularly in regions of the Global South.
